As a psychologist for over 20 years, author Dr. Thompkins counseled numerous police officers and was fascinated by their stories of courage and the relentless struggle against crime. His work with the police led to a burning interest in mystery and crime fiction and resulted in a new series of novels featuring “the Shooting Shrink.”
